Italiaans regisseur, scenarioschrijver en editor, soms vermeld als Michael E. Lemick. Begon als regie-assistent, onder anderen van zijn neef Sergio Martino, voor wie hij ook twee films monteerde. Maakte voornamelijk genrefilms en had het meest succes met wat ‘commedia sexy all’italiana’ werd genoemd, zoals La liceale/The Teasers (tevens scenario; 1975), La poliziotta fa carriera/Confessions of a Lady Cop (tevens scenario; 1976) en La professoressa di scienze naturali/School Days (tevens scenario; 1976). Filmdebuut met de politiethriller 7 ore di violenza per una soluzione imprevista/Seven Hours of Violence (1973).
Tot zijn overige films behoren Taxi Girl (tevens scenario; 1977), Napoli si ribella (tevens scenario; 1977), het melodrama Stringimi forte papà/The Last Daddy (tevens scenario; 1978), L’insegnante viene a casa/The School Teacher in the House (tevens scenario; 1978), La poliziotta a New York (tevens scenario; 1981), Sangraal, la spada di fuoco/The Sword of the Barbarians (tevens scenario; 1982), Femmine in fuga/Women in Fury (tevens scenario; 1984), Nudo e selvaggio/Massacre in Dinosaur Valley/Cannibal Ferox II (tevens scenario en montage; 1985) en Se lo fai sono guai (tevens scenario; 2001). Schreef mee aan de horrorfilm The Torturer (Lamberto Bava, 2005). Woonde sinds de jaren 80 in Brazilië.
