Engels theater-, televisie- en filmproducent. Zoon van impresario Robin Fox, broer van acteurs Edward en James Fox. Oscarnominatie in de categorie ‘beste film’ voor The Hours (samen met Scott Rudin; Stephen Daldry, 2002). Succesvol theaterproducent in Londen (WestEnd) en op Broadway. Eerste credit als executive producer voor de verfilming van Julian Mitchells toneelstuk Another Country (Marek Kanievska, 1984). Produceerde ook films als A Month by the Lake (John Irvin, 1995), Iris (Richard Eyre, 2001), Closer (Mike Nichols, 2004), Notes on a Scandal (Eyre, 2006), Atonement (Joe Wright, 2007) en Wilde Salomé (Al Pacino, 2011). Executive producer van de Netflix-serie over de Britse koninklijke familie The Crown (2016-23). Onder anderen gescheiden van actrice Natasha Richardson.
